ART Announces Next Phase Following Acquisition by Olympia Partners, Including Leadership Transition and Brand Evolution to Active Rail Technology

Curitiba, Brazil — February 25th, 2026 — ART, a provider of safety-critical rail technology and mission-critical software, today announced the next phase of its growth following its acquisition by Olympia Partners, including a leadership transition and a brand evolution to Active Rail Technology — while retaining the widely recognized ART acronym.

As part of the transition, Carlos Corrêa, ART’s founder and Chief Executive Officer, will step down from his executive role following a transition period. ART will continue to be led by its existing Managing Board, ensuring continuity in strategy, customer delivery, and long-term execution across its markets.

Over more than 25 years, ART has built a track record supporting mission-critical freight operations at scale, with technology deployed across multiple continents — including 21,000+ km of rail, 3,000+ locomotives, and 20+ control centers across 16 countries in multiple continents.

Brand evolution: Active Rail Technology (ART)

ART is adopting the name Active Rail Technology to reflect an expanded role in modern rail operations — combining a proven engineering foundation with an intelligence layer that supports higher-level operational outcomes. In addition to safety-critical control and execution systems, ART is scaling its portfolio of operational intelligence solutions spanning dispatch and traffic management, yard operations, fleet performance optimization, and analytics. Where appropriate, ART is also incorporating AI-supported decision intelligence to strengthen planning, execution, and continuous improvement across rail networks.

The brand evolution is anchored by the positioning: “Rail Technology. Engineered Intelligence.”

“ART has earned trust by delivering engineering that performs in mission-critical rail environments — where reliability is non-negotiable,” said Ignacio Toribio, Commercial Director at ART. “This next phase strengthens our ability to support operators end-to-end: from safety-critical control and disciplined execution to optimization and measurable performance.”

“With Olympia Partners’ support, we are investing behind ART’s technology roadmap and global execution,” said Daniel Polizzi, Managing Partner at Olympia Partners. “Our approach is long-term and hands-on: preserve what works, strengthen governance and delivery, and accelerate product evolution where it translates into real operational and financial outcomes for operators.”

ART remains focused on long-term partnerships, operational excellence, and delivering proven technology for railway operators worldwide.
